Martin Daignault

Osteopathic Practitioner, Kinesiologist
DOMP, RKin. (BCAK)

Martin is a graduate of the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is welcoming new patients at this time.
Martin has been practicing kinesiology since 2011. After obtaining his kinesiology degree from the University of Montreal, he started working with athletes in a high-performance center. Initially, most of his work was with healthy athletes looking to excel in their sport. Gradually, Martin started seeing more clients dealing with physical pain and became very interested in helping people get back to normal physical activity after an injury.

After growing his practice in rehabilitation and pain management, Martin was looking to learn new skills to help his clients and decided to embark on a 5-year journey to learn Osteopathic Manual Therapy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. He was attracted to osteopathy because of the holistic approach and the philosophy that everything in the body is interconnected. Martin sees osteopathy as a way to remove barriers to health & vitality, and kinesiology as a way to increase functionality and general energy.

Clients come to see Martin for various reason: post-injury rehabilitation, relief of physical pain, weight management, personalized exercise programs, and movement to help with stress/anxiety. Martin works with everyone from athletic teenagers, to seniors that are looking to be healthier by integrating exercises in their weekly routine.

During a session with Martin, you can expect to receive manual therapy and to be guided through exercises such as stretches, functional movements and more, depending on the reason for the visit. Martin is patient and loves to teach proper movements that are, in his mind, essential for good health.

On his own time, Martin likes to learn about new subjects and to be physically active. He firmly believes that with the right mindset, you can achieve anything. He’s been putting this belief to the test for the past years by competing in endurance events including Ironman triathlons, 7-day races and over 20 ultra-marathons ranging from 50-160km. When not at work, you can find him running in the Sea-to-Sky mountains, working out to classic rock music in his backyard or cooking good meals for his partner-in-crime.

Martin is a practicing member of OsteopathyBC and the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
